Snow Leopard Trust

Zoo New England is supporting our partner the Snow Leopard Trust in the long-term snow leopard conservation work they are doing in the Gobi Altai Mountains of Mongolia. The program works with local herders to minimize conflict with these apex predators, provides financial and other benefits to community members, and runs the longest continuous research program on snow leopards in the world!
Sabin Snow Leopard Grants Program
With funding from the Andrew Sabin Family Foundation, Zoo New England runs the Sabin Snow Leopard Grants Program. We provide multiple competitive grants each year to snow leopard conservationists across the 12 range countries to fund their research and conservation initiatives.
AZA SAFE Snow Leopard Program

Zoo New England is a member of the AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) SAFE (Saving Animals From Extinction) Snow Leopard Program. Our support of the SAFE Program helps researchers and conservationists across snow leopard range states, and the program also helps to educate people about snow leopard conservation, including on International Snow Leopard Day every October 23rd!
